How does therapy work?
REACH OUT
Call, text, or email to let me know you're interested. Feel free to tell me a little about why you'd like to start therapy!
SET YOUR APPOINTMENT
I'll get you set up in my client portal system called Simple Practice. Just fill out your online paperwork before the first session.
COME ON IN
You'll get a text and email confirmation of your appointment date and time. Each session is 50 minutes devoted to you!
How do I pay for therapy?
All therapy services are private pay. All fees can be paid by cash, check, credit cards, and HSA/FSA, and are due at the time of services.

Because I am an out-of-network provider, you have greater confidentiality and flexibility in your therapy. You do not have to notify your health insurance that you are engaging in therapy. However, I can also provide the appropriate statement (superbill) so you can file for out-of-network benefit reimbursement. Please consult with your insurance provider if this is an option for you.

How long does therapy last?
That is completely up to you! Some clients come for a few sessions and some come for years. The duration of your therapy depends on your needs, goals, and reasons for therapy. You can come to address a specific problem and be done! Or, you can frequent therapy as much you want as a form of self-care. I promise I won't keep you longer than needed, but I also won't kick you out if you want to stay!
How often should I go to therapy?
I often recommend clients attend therapy weekly or every other week to begin. However, as you make progress, we can reduce your frequency to your comfort level. I know finances and schedules may affect how often you attend therapy. We will come up with a plan that works best for your needs.
Do you do in-person or telehealth therapy?
I offer therapy both in-person or via telehealth. As a client, you can choose to do a mixture of both--whatever you prefer. Telehealth is offered through a HIPAA compliant platform called Simple Practice. All you need is an internet connection and a phone, computer, or iPad.
Can you see clients outside of Florida?
I am currently licensed in the state of Florida. This means I can provide therapy to anyone who resides in Florida. If you live out-of-state and are willing to travel to Tallahassee for sessions, I'd be happy to work with you. I can also offer intensive sessions for those who want to work with me but may have to travel further distances. Please contact me for more information on intensives.
