I'm so glad you're here!

I was born in Seoul, South Korea to a Korean mother and an Italian-American father who served in the U.S. Army. I grew up in western Pennsylvania surrounded by changing seasons, Italian and Polish food, and an unwavering love for Pittsburgh sports. I went on to study Molecular Biology at Grove City College before following my true calling — pursuing a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy at Drexel University, then a PhD in the same field at Florida State University, where I graduated in 2009 and continue to teach today.

After years of moving for school, Tallahassee became home. I've grown to love sweet tea, grits, and the winding canopy roads that make this city unlike anywhere else. My faith in God and my family are my greatest joys — I'm happily married with two children and two bonus children, and life with all of them is full and wonderfully imperfect. When I'm not in session or in the classroom, you'll find me shopping, cooking, exercising, or helping my craftsman husband with whatever woodworking project has taken over the garage.

I've worn a lot of hats in this life — daughter, athlete, student, wife, mother, friend. Those roles have shaped me deeply. But it was my own experience in therapy that taught me the most important lesson: who I am cannot be defined by what I do or how well I perform in any of them. Knowing myself, being authentic, and taking good care of me — that's the foundation everything else is built on.

I've seen what's possible when people do this work with intention and courage. More peace, deeper connection, a truer sense of self. That's what I'm here to help you find.
